Simon Cowell Walks Out of Show Audition

We’ve all seen Simon Cowell walk out of an audition, but what was it that sent him out the doors of this 2019 audition, specifically?

According to Talent Recap, Cowell walked out of a 2019 America’s Got Talent audition performed by flute player Brandon Coprich.

As it turns out, Brandon wasn’t just a flute player. He was a stripping flute player. Unfortunately, his performance was so cringeworthy that Cowell felt he needed to get out, and get out quickly.

When Brandon was interviewed by the judges on AGT he said, “There’s not too many of us boys playing the flute, so we gotta represent.”

As if it wasn’t bad enough, Cowell didn’t like flutes to begin with. The outlet quotes him as saying, I know that people like playing them. Does anyone like listening to them?”

Here’s what you need to know:

Coprich Has Over 30k Followers

Clearly, the gig helped Coprich at least a little bit, because he’s garnered over 30k followers on Instagram to date.

His Instagram account bio reads, “Musician, Nerd, Bunny, Wanderluster.”

And according to America’s Got Talent Wiki, the flutist was eliminated at the audition round of performances.

The routine he presented kicked off with a rendition of “Morning Mood” on the flute. Then, he stripped to Ginuwine’s “Pony.”

The act was buzzed by all four judges on the panel, which, at the time, consisted of Howie Mandel, Gabrielle Union, Julianna Hough, and Simon. That being said, Cowell did click the button for both Gabrielle and Julianna.

American Idol 2021

What does this season of American Idol promise? According to Country Fan Cast, Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie will be returning as judges. Ryan Seacrest, meanwhile, will be the host while Bobby Bones will work as the in-house mentor.

The outlet wrote, “Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the judges will be seated separately at their own small table during the audition process. Fans tuning into American Idol Season 4 give can expect to see more production changes to ensure safety. As fans can recall, Season 3 was forced to continue remotely due to the pandemic.”

The show is “technically not possible to do it all live obviously,” in the words of Ryan Seacrest, but they are still making it work.

Earlier this week, People offered fans an exclusive first look into season 4 of American Idol.

In the promo clips, the judges have inspiring words to share. Richie says, “Where there is love I don’t think you can go wrong.” Bryan adds, “You can choose love or hate, I choose love.” And Perry says, “Love is supreme and unconditional.”

And the promos also make it clear that there’s some talent in store for those watching at home. Video clips show Perry saying, “This is the first time in four years, just someone singing made me cry.” Perry, as viewers may be aware, recently gave birth to her daughter, Daisy Dove, in August 2020.

This season of American Idol will kick off on February 14th, Valentine’s Day, on ABC.
